William JosephLAMEYIt is with great sadness that the family of William Lamey announce his passing on the 18/09/2025 at Derriford Hospital.

William was a Navy man who worked hard in his service. He was kind and polite; and especially loved by the wonderful nursing team at Derriford who cared for him.

William was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Iris, for 64 years; and we take comfort in knowing he is reunited with her.

He and Iris were always together and are both now remembered for being brilliant parents, and loyal spouses.

He was loved dearly by his children Susan (deceased), Steven, Alan, Paul, Pamela and their partners. Also a loving brother to Pam and a cherished grandad and great grandad

The funeral service for William will take place on Monday the 13th of October 2025 at 14:30pm in Ceremony Room 2 at The Park Crematorium, Plymouth.

Donations to the Children's Hospice in memory of William are welcome.

Please can we ask for family floral tributes only.

For any inquiries, please contact Co-op Funeral Care, 61 Exeter Street, Plymouth, PL4 0AH. 01752 303800.

We cannot have the old times back when we were all together, but memories of the past we shared remain with us forever.

Remembering you uncle Bill and our recent phone chats. From your nephew Tony.

William Lamey (Bill)
The hands of time they swiftly pass but the past holds memories of times we all shared together. I know the family chain is broken and nothing feels the same but as we are called one by one the chain, it links again.
Re- united with his beloved wife Iris.
Dear brother-in-law to George and sister-in- law Barbara Flanagan (both deceased) and uncle to Tony.
Remembering our recent phone calls uncle Bill. You were so respected.
